Wingfoot's Trail Place Author of the Thru-Hiker's Guide to the Appalachian Trail, Dan Bruce (Wingfoot), a several-time thru-hiker maintains this site with information primarily aimed at long distance hiking on the AT.

ALDHA. The Appalachian Long Distance Hikers Association is a group who love long-distance hiking. They hold "The Gathering" each year where hikers get together for a great time. The page has lots of interesting hiking stuff.

Pete and Eds Books. The biggest list of outdoor-oriented books I've seen yet! Look under "Hiking" for hiking book list, but they have lots of other outdoor sports books too. Again, you can shop direct from web.
Campmor The camping warehouse in New Jersey offers a variety of outdoor gear for hiking, camping and biking at reasonable prices. You can buy it right off their web page.
Frank Logue Frank and Victoria are outdoor writers/photographers (also thru-hikers of the AT, and before they moved, members and section maintainers for NHC). His page has trail recipes, articles on the outdoors and more.
