Maps Available from the Nantahala Ranger District of the US Forest Service

There are a number of maps for our area (not available from Appalachian Trail Conservancy) which you can get from the USFS, Nantahala Ranger District office in Franklin. We strongly recommend the "Southern Nantahala Wilderness Area" map, which shows not only the AT, but all the many side trails in this great hiking area. There are also some great hiking areas nearby but off the AT, and some of these maps show these areas.
